Man Says Tight Shoes Made Him Lose 3 Toes

A Lorain man is suing Discount Drug Mart after three of his toes had to be amputated.

Leo Williams, 56, said he lost his toes because he wore tight orothopedic shoes that a Drug Mart employee mis-sized and said just needed breaking in. His attorney said Williams is now in a wheelchair.

Williams went to the Sheffield store to get fitted twice, the suit said. He accused the employees of lacking the state license needed to sell orthopedic shoes.

His attorney said that William will need more surgery and could lose more of his foot.

Drug Mart officials refused to comment.
