A new poll suggests the Rev. Jeremiah Wright controversy isn't entirely crushing Barack Obama's White House hopes.
In the CBS News/New York Times poll, 60 percent of voters surveyed say they approved of the way the Illinois Democrat has handled the situation. The approval is even higher among Democratic primary voters.
Three out of four respondents to the poll said Wright's statements hadn't changed their opinion of the candidate. And more than half say the media is spending too much time dissecting the story.
