Cholera in Iraq: Reuters reports that 2,116 people have been infected with cholera in the last month. Despite the number of bacterial infections, only 11 people -- about 0.52% of those infected -- have died.

About 30,000 Iraqis have been diagnosed with watery diarrhea in the past month, Reuters says. BBC News just reported that the first death associated with a confirmed case of the disease has occurred in Baghdad.
