1 cent goes to diplomacy and foreign aid;
3 cents goes to the environment, energy, and science;
12 cents goes to respond to poverty in the United States;
43 cents goes to war.
Please let your senators know that spending 43 percent of your tax dollars on war does not reflect your spending priorities for the United States. Urge both of your senators to shift funds from the military to priorities that support real security by promoting conflict resolution and international development, domestic human needs, and responses to climate change.
