Witness one of Homeland Security's great triumphs - the capture and detention of "The Freedom City Seven," a group of impoverished and unemployed Florida construction workers who lived in a warehouse and allegedly plotted to blow up Chicago's Sears Tower, several FBI headquarters and Candy Land. Last month, Federal prosecutors announced plans to retry six of them for the third time, after two consecutive mistrials. Apparently, there is no statute of limitations for horseshit in der Homeland.

If the saga of "The Freedom City Seven" were ever filmed, it would resemble a genetic splicing of "Dumb and Dumber" and "1984."

Back in '06, U.S. Attorney General, Seedy Gonzales declared these guys were attempting to "wage a full ground war against America." One FBI agent said that Batiste "made reference to taking over the world." Wow!
