German anatomist and inventor Gunther von Hagens wants it.

believes that his system of plastination - preserving the flesh of actual corpses by removing the water and injecting polymers - helps people appreciate the natural beauty of their bodies.  That means seeing just what the body looks like, minus skin and fat, and helping to ease some of the natural fear of death and decay.
