From Lightbringer to whore
(a treatise on the devolution of the mother goddess reputation )
The great American transcendentalist, Ralph Waldo Emerson, once said “From within or from behind, a light shines through us upon things, and makes us aware that we are nothing, but the light is all.” According to Nietzsche, “love was not consolation, it was light.” The famous last words of Wolfgang von Goethe were “Light! More Light!”
Obviously, light is the most important “thing” in the whole universe, that which allows living organisms to emerge and evolve. Without the light, there could be no life forms on Earth, as we know it at present. Not just the plants and the vegetation that need light for photosynthesis but also the other life forms that are nurtured by the immense varieties of fruits, vegetables and herbs.
She says, the word “Zonah” was used for both “prophetess” and “whore” in ancient Hebrew.
