Researchers say it has the potential to save thousands of lives. Another group of Australian scientists believe they're a step closer to isolating the cause of motor neuron disease in the form of a protein that kills the nerves connecting the brain to the muscles. And a report on obesity claims the current epidemic in Australia is shortening life expectancy by two years.
