CLIFF: Hey Larry, the Pope has concluded his six day visit to the U.S.

I was wondering if you had any thoughts you would like to share on him or his visit. Do you?

LARRY:
First of all, Cliff, I am in favor of anyone who espouses moral dignity

when he was Pope John Paul's second in command, he sent letters to all 2500 Catholic Church Diocese requesting that if they have any information / proof of child sexual abuse within the Church .. that they should hold onto it for 7 years

CLIFF: I wasn't aware of the sex abuse thing

It bothers me to see people (mostly Catholics) idolize him and be as smitten with him as a teen-age girl seeing the Beatles in 1964.

LARRY:
Yes, I agree. He is just a man.

When I was a 'Believer' - we were allowed to speak directly to God. We didn't need an interpreter.

CLIFF:

In I John, Chapter 2, Verse 1 "And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."
