Plot : The Women is a remake of the 1939 classic of the same name that was adapted from Clare Boothe Luce play. The story is set in New York City and centers on a group of gossipy, high-society women. However, an overall disillusionment engulfs the group when Mary Haines (Meg Ryan), a clothing designer and the most envied lady of the group, learns about the infidelity of her husband with a shop girl named Crystal Allen (Eva Mendes). This results in not only putting Mary’s relationship with her best friend, Sylvie Fowler (Annette Bening) under strain, but also raising doubts in the minds of the other members of the group about their own friendships and romantic relationships.
