What is the best internet security ...

Unfortunately, no single "suite" will be effective. I can give you a list of standard preventive measures, and preferred applications:

Strip down all unnecessary services, features and applications:

Hardware Firewall(highly recommended) + Windows (native) Firewall OR ZoneAlarm.

Cheapest Norton Antivirus you can get (or another antivirus application of your choice) – only antivirus, NO extras.

Modified and locked HOSTS file:

Mozilla OR FireFox OR Opera instead of Internet Explorer.

Webroot Spy Sweeper OR Spybot + Ad-Aware AND HijackThis - for periodic scans.

All the Best!
