This documentary takes a critical look at the theory of evolution and talks about why there seems to be no discussion permitted on this topic: you either believe in evolution or you’re intellectually stunted.   It states on the “Expelled” web site that scientists have lost their tenure and their reputations for having the courage to question the tenets of evolution. Stein takes on the evolutionist majority in the scientific community in this movie, and expresses a strong case for the theory of intelligent design in the process. As movie reviewer J. Matt Barber succinctly puts it, Stein “drives home the need for academic freedom, intellectual honesty and open debate on all scientific fronts.”
