Q: I keep hearing about these free books I can get at Tor.com. How do I put one of these on my Kindle?
A: This is the way I do it on my Windows PC:
1. Plug your kindle into your computer with the USB cable.
2. Go to the link for the free book (this week you can find it at)

3. Right click the link for the .mobi version
4. Choose "save to disk"
5. Windows explorer will come up. Navigate to the Kindle (on my computer it is drive G:) and then the documents folder.
6. Click "OK" to have the file saved in your documents folder.
7. Disconnect the Kindle from your computer. On the index/home page, the new book should be listed, along with the author. That's it!
If you don't have your USB cable handy, you can always save the book to your computer, then transfer it later.
Maybe someone with a Mac could post the Mac instructions here?
