Well as of today you will no longer be able to purchase XP licenses from your local computer store or even from Microsoft's website. We say a heart felt goodbye to our beloved Windows XP, and make room in our hearts for Vista, Linux, Mac OS or wait around for windows 7.0. But for those of you that simply can't bare to say goodbye, fret not since you will still be able to get XP in low-cost PCs until 2010 as stated in a previous article, you just won't be able to acquire it without purchasing a "nettop", referring to low-cost desktops with configurations that are intended for simple tasks like surfing the Internet and sending email. Windows XP was released on October 25th, 2001 and is still going strong on June 30th, 2008.
