4 Roads to Nirvana


Photo By: ramzi hashishoIn the modern world, it seems as if it is becoming all too easy to settle into a routine that leads to a soul-deadening existence. We allow the cubicle culture to box in our spirit and you might agree that we let the norms and standards of society chain us to our desks in our attempt at keeping up.


We are, however, the masters of our own destiny. Some of the greatest leaders born to this world have proved that. Take Victor Frankl, for instance. During his time in Auschwitz he was perpetually dehumanized and stripped of all dignity and freedom. The day to day life for a concentration camp prisoner was little more than a forced effort to prepare for his own death and those of his fellow captives. And in the midst of this, he found his happiness in this:


Everything can be taken away from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedom — to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.
